Description from the seller
Fascinating and historic antique dining service crafted by the historic manufacturer S.C. Richard (Società Ceramica Richard), a testament to the excellence of the great Italian ceramic tradition of the twentieth century. The set features elegant relief ribbed relief work on white porcelain, framed by a thin, subtle edge gilded in pure gold. The gravy boat and serving plates – including the imposing oval serving plate marked Laveno – display soft lines, shaped knobs, and finely molded handles. A grand classic of by-gone times, sober, sophisticated, and with exceptional stage presence.

Brand History
The Società Ceramica Richard (founded in Milan in 1842) and the Società Ceramica Italiana di Laveno (founded on Lake Maggiore in 1856) represent two historical pillars of Italian art ceramics, later becoming part of the same industrial group together with Ginori. The imprinted brands bear witness to the prestigious Italian manufacturing production at the turn of the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, celebrated for the quality of the pastes and the refinement of traditional shapes.
Condition
The service is presented in good / excellent vintage condition considering its notable age. The porcelain retains a beautiful bright color and the construction of the pieces is solid and well preserved. The gold trim along the wavy edges shows, in some spots, the natural and fascinating patina of time and very slight wear due to normal historical use.
Shipping
Shipping will be carried out via trackable express courier. Given that this is an antique lot of great value and prestige, the packaging will be handled with obsessive care: each individual piece will be protected with a generous layer of thick bubble wrap and placed in reinforced double-wall cardboard boxes to eliminate any transport risk."}
