Unfortunately I could not find an "Audio" CD-R or CD-RW disc (with SCMS licensing code), and I was unable to test the recording function.

Description

The Philips CDR-765 is one of Philips' most advanced standalone dual-deck Audio CD recorders, introduced in 1998. It combines a CD player and a CD recorder in one chassis, allowing direct disc-to-disc copying, recording from external analog or digital sources, and playback of standard audio CDs. It was designed specifically for home Hi-Fi systems rather than computer use.

As one of the pioneers of Compact Disc technology, Philips developed the CDR-765 as a premium home recording solution for archiving vinyl records, cassette tapes, MiniDisc, and CDs.
