A splendid pair of wooden nightstands with marble tops, in the Louis Philippe style, handcrafted in Italy and dating from the late 19th century to the early 1900s.
The pair features a small drawer for storing glasses, books, and other small items. In the center is a spacious door, originally used to house a chamber pot.
The furniture is crafted in the Louis Philippe style, featuring soft, rounded lines, a door with a molded panel, cylindrical legs, and pilasters with floral motifs. The tops are made of two slabs of white Carrara-style marble, with a few minor imperfections such as discoloration and small lines, likely due to age and use.
These are pieces of great value, in good condition with a few minor signs of age and wear, such as color fading and a slightly faded shellac finish on one of the two pieces. One lock need to be adjusted.
Dimensions: height 90 cm, width 40 cm, depth 30 cm.
