Dual - 1224 Turntable

The Dual 1224 is an automatic idler-drive turntable from Dual's mid-range lineup. It was built from 1974–1978 in St. Georgen (Germany). Technically, the Dual 1224 uses an idler-drive system, in which a rubber idler wheel transmits the motor’s power to the platter. This results in a powerful and stable rotational torque and gives the player the warm, dynamic sound character that many enthusiasts of vintage Dual models seek. It supports 33⅓ and 45 revolutions per minute and has a pitch control of about ±6%. The platter has a diameter of 270 mm and weighs about 1.45 kg. The wow & flutter is approximately 0.15%, the rumble about 55 dB, and the dimensions are 329 × 123 × 274 mm
