It includes Indonesia, the islands of the Pacific, New Zealand and the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii) in the north-east. The map also shows the sea routes and voyages of famous explorers such as James Cook, Abel Tasman, John Byron, William Bougainville and others. Published by the renowned Nuremberg publishing house Schneider and Weigel. The map was drawn up in 1792 and is presented here in an updated version from 1796.
