Fluorite Specimen - Height: 22.5 cm - Width: 15.5 cm- 3.45 kg - (1)

An important specimen of fluorite from Balochistan, Pakistan, characterized by an unusually distinctive crystal growth and of notable mineralogical interest.

The specimen consists of two fluorite slabs arranged almost parallel and facing back-to-back. The outer surfaces display rich crystallization of fluorite cubes, well-developed and distributed on both faces of the specimen, a rather uncommon feature that gives the sample a particularly dramatic appearance.

Between the two slabs there is a natural cavity that does not result from a fracture or a cut, but represents a trace of dissolution. It is likely that originally the two inner surfaces were attached to another mineral, subsequently dissolved during geological processes, leaving the characteristic fissure that runs through the specimen.

The crystals display a delicate gray-blue coloration, with good transparency and the typical vitreous luster of fluorite. Locally there are light natural oxidations that attest to the mineral’s formation without compromising its aesthetics.

A rare and interesting specimen that combines beautiful crystallization with a particular geological conformation, making it a piece of great interest for the collector.
