Limited edition mixed‑media sculpture of the Porsche 911 RSR 1973, 37 cm wide by 12 cm high, with renewed original authenticity, dated 2026 and in as‑new condition.
Description from the seller
Description:
This mixed-media automotive sculpture is a piece of modern, industrial design, created by layering shaped panels. The work depicts the iconic silhouette of a 1973 Porsche 911 RSR, a legendary model in the world of GT racing.
The sculpture is composed of a series of flat plates to mimic the horizontal cross-sections of the car. When stacked and spaced apart (an effect visible from several angles), they form the full volume of the bodywork. The finish of the plates is a shimmering bronze-gold metal, giving the piece a precious and almost totemic appearance, like a relic of engineering.
The close frontal view highlights the complex geometry of the individual sections and how the lower profiles and the shaped holes recreate the headlights. The layered technique breaks down the familiar shape of the car, almost like a three-dimensional technical diagram, evoking concepts of aerodynamics, precision engineering, and the passage of time.
The entire structure is mounted on a black structured, contrasting base, similar to felt or volcanic stone. On the front-right part of the base, there is a clean black plaque with red printed text that reads: "PORSCHE 911 RSR 1973", authenticating the subject of the piece.
The piece exudes a sense of movement and power captured in stillness, celebrating a enduring automotive form through a contemporary, deconstructed aesthetic.
The lot will be shipped with international express insured courier.
