Technics - SH-8020 Equalizer

I propose, from my personal collection, a splendid equalizer from the famous Japanese house TECHNICS, model SH-8020, in silver. The Technics SH-8020 is an iconic stereo 12-band graphic equalizer per channel for high fidelity, manufactured in Japan by Technics between 1980 and 1983. It is considered a vintage component of great quality, sought after by enthusiasts for its acoustic performance and the distinctive illuminated sliders.

- Frequency bands: 12 controls per channel across octave intervals (16 Hz, 31.5 Hz, 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4 kHz, 8 kHz, 16 kHz, 32 kHz).
- Control range: Variable and selectable between ±12 dB (for decisive adjustments) and ±3 dB (for fine micro-adjustments).
- Frequency response: Extremely wide, from 5 Hz to 100 kHz.

Key Features and Functions

- Design and illumination: The front panel (available in silver or black/dark gray finish) hosts 24 total sliders. Each control is equipped with an integrated LED that creates a striking visual effect.
- Tape Loop management: Includes Tape Monitor and duplication functions, allowing you to connect a cassette recorder directly to the equalizer and record the signal already equalized.
- EQ Reverse feature: Allows inverting the set curve with the press of a single button, useful for compensating phase during recording when there is acoustic compression.

It is presented in excellent cosmetic condition, mechanically sound, clean and checked. (real photos).

The LED lights are very bright and, above all, do not flicker when moving the sliders.
Supplied with its original manual, illustrated sheets for correct wiring (3 manuals in different languages) and a schematic diagram sheet.
Difficult to find in these conditions and complete with all of its original manuals.
