Style Moustiers - Oil vessel - Ceramic

A charming antique French faience oil and vinegar cruet set executed in the traditional Moustiers style. The set consists of two original cruets in their matching stand with a central handle. The bottles are marked H (Huile) for oil and V (Vinaigre) for vinegar. Each cruet is entirely hand-painted in a delicate green monochrome palette. One bottle depicts an anthropomorphic fox carrying a wooden bucket, while the other features a hunter dressed in traditional attire with a broad-brimmed hat, standing among stylised plants and foliage. The scenes are complemented by delicate floral sprigs, small insects and ornamental motifs inspired by the famous decorative tradition of Moustiers faience. The elegant scalloped stand, graceful bottle shapes and refined hand-painted decoration create a beautiful example of French decorative faience inspired by 18th-century Moustiers ceramics.
