Louis XV Rocaille console in gilded wood and marble, dating from 1850–1900, of European origin, measuring 142 cm wide, 88 cm high, and 52 cm deep, in very good condition.

Louis XV Rocaille console in gilded wood and marble
Important console in Louis XV Rocaille style, fine European craftsmanship from the second half of the 19th century, the Napoleonic III era.
The structure, of refined historicist execution, is entirely made of carved openwork wood and gilded with a warm antique patina. The underlayment apron features foliate scrolls and raised cartouches, supported by four Cabriole legs adorned with acanthus leaves and joined by a shaped crosspiece with a central carved shell.
The top is crowned by a shaped marble slab with amber-veined patterns, perfectly intact and glossy.
An piece of great elegance and presence, ideal for high-era interiors or prestigious salons, where gilding and marble dialogue in a balance of luxury and harmony.
