Impressive cornice crafted in carved, chiselled wood, stuccato with plaster and gilded in fine gold, dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s.
Scenographic beauty in appearance and form, its greatest virtue is the modanated profile in multiple orders, carved, rich in chisellings, and the precious reticulated belt punch-work done manually on the plaster preparation.

Imponente cornice realizzata in legno intagliato, cesellato, stuccato con gesso e dorato in oro fino, risalente alla fine del 1800 inizio 1900. 
Scenografica bella nell'aspetto e nella forma il suo maggior pregio è il profilo modanato a più ordini, intagliato, ricco di cesellature e la pregiata fascia reticolata a bulino eseguita manualmente sulla preparazione a gesso. 

La cifratura alterna sezioni a reticolo geometrico con losanghe incise a "X" a delicate linee ondulate continue e simmetriche (motivo a festone). 
I quattro centri mediano i lati con un intaglio a rilievo speculare composto da doppie volute contrapposte e foglie stilizzate digradanti. 
Agli angoli, l'apparato decorativo si intensifica riproponendo motivi fogliacei e conchiglie stilizzate che raccordano armonicamente la struttura. Il bordo perimetrale più esterno è rifinito da una sottile e regolare punzonatura orizzontale a piccoli punti impressi.
La battuta interna ospita un passe-partout strutturale rivestito in velluto rasato color rosso bordeaux/amaranto, tagliato agli angoli e profilato internamente da un sottile filetto dorato lucido a specchio.

Cornice di notevole impatto, un capolavoro capace di arricchire e contestualizzare l’opera importanti, contribuendo significativamente alla loro presentazione estetica. Ideale per musei, gallerie e appartamenti.
