Biombo mask-helmet, called Cimwana or Tshimwana, is a traditional mask of the Bena Biombo, a people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo belonging to the Kuba cultural area.

Carved usually in wood, it represents a stylized human face, often marked with geometric scarifications on the cheeks. Some specimens also feature three protrusions at the top of the head. This mask was worn during dances and ritual ceremonies, notably initiation rites and sometimes funerals.

Le masque-casque Biombo, appelé **Cimwana** ou **Tshimwana**, est un masque traditionnel des **Bena Biombo**, un peuple de la République démocratique du Congo appartenant à l’aire culturelle Kuba.

Sculpté généralement en bois, il représente un visage humain stylisé, souvent marqué de scarifications géométriques sur les joues. Certains exemplaires présentent également trois excroissances au sommet de la tête. Ce masque était porté lors de danses et de cérémonies rituelles, notamment les rites d’initiation et parfois les funérailles.
