Two large church candlesticks from circa 1940 to 1950, executed in Dutch Art Deco style with influences of the Amsterdam School.
The candlesticks have a heavy and architectural design, with wide bell-shaped bases, bowl-like candle holders and decorative brass details. The dark patinated metal forms a beautiful contrast with the gold-colored accents. The design is reminiscent of metalwork by Jan Eisenloeffel.
