Lot of 8 antique linen napkins handmade with exquisite craftsmanship.

Each napkin features a central motif in openwork drawn-thread embroidery (Hardanger / pulled-thread embroidery) forming a geometric rosette, hand-stitched with great finesse. The edges are finished with a drawn ladder stitch also executed by hand, evidencing traditional know-how.

The weaving is fairly coarse and regular, characteristic of fine old linen. The color is a natural ecru.
