Pair of large decorative Liberty plates in bronze/brass - Late 19th / Early 20th century
Fascinating pair of large antique decorative plates (escutcheons or ornamental elements for furniture), finely crafted in full Liberty style (Art Nouveau). The pieces are distinguished by rich bas-relief naturalistic ornamentation, featuring sinuous tendrils, creeping ivy leaves, and floral details typical of the Belle Époque floral taste. Made in cast metal (bronze/brass), they boast a splendid original dark patina that enhances their three-dimensionality and details. Each plate has two screw holes for mounting. Splendid collectibles or ideal for restoring fine furniture.
