Description from the seller
Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck - 47 chinese candy wraps 1954-1975 ULTRA RARE!!
Beautiful collection of 47 original Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck candy wraps made in China between 1944 and 1959.
Extremely colourful and rare, they were very popular during and after the second world war until late 1959 when Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck were replaced by White Rabbit (大白兔) due to political reason and changing in market trends.
These 45 candy wraps (+ 2 liangpiao: ration coupons to purchase candies who replaced money during the 1959-1961 famine and during the culytural revolution when in many inner provinces banknoptes were abolished) - all in excellent conditions (many of them are nearly mint) come from different factories/production companies, from the main ones (ABC, Shanghai Tianshan Huimin Food, Shanghai Aimin Factory) as well as ultra-rare/almost unknown local brands such as Bayun Trademark (白云商标) which was active in Inner Mongolia only and had the most colourful ones back in the 50's.
Some of them are not even known by local chinese die-hard collectors of Disney-related stuff due to the extreme variety of types and production, sometimes even so local to be totally unknown.
As said, it includes also two ultra rare liangpiao (粮票), i.e. ration coupons who replaced money expecially during the 1959-1961 three years of famine. They were also used during the years of the Cultural Revolution in many of the inner provinces where the banknotes were abolished and replaced by coupons valid in that specific province only.
You can see them in the last photo, the blue one with Mickey Mouse playing football and the next one with MM wearing a hat.
An unique opportunity for serious Disney collectors. Also sell each item separately, according to its grade of rarity and condition.
