Antique Gilded Frame in Carved Wood with Twisted Rope – Baroque / Classical Style, 19th Century
Elegant rectangular antique frame in solid wood, finely carved, featuring refined gilding (antique gold finish). The structure presents a rich classical moulding with a distinctive and pronounced twisted rope motif along the entire outer profile, which gives great movement and three-dimensional depth to the object. The inner linear rebate makes it perfect to house period paintings, antique prints, or to be transformed into a precious designer mirror frame. The back structure preserves the original metal ring for wall hanging. The item is in good general condition, with a beautiful natural patina of time and very light signs of wear on the gilding that attest to its authenticity and age. Solid and sound structure.
