AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Hand-carved, multicolored wooden bottle holder of Spanish origin, dating from 1960/1965, depicting a Templar Knight (Crusader).
Opening on one side with a closure held by a strong magnet; the interior space is sized for a classic 750 ml wine bottle (bottle not included).

These sculptural containers were made in Spain as special gift packaging and decorative bar objects to accompany and enhance the famous wines of the Spanish winery Bodegas AGE (today Bodegas Manzanos), particularly for the Rioja wine line called "Siglo". (Wine company founded in 1890 by the Fernández de Manzanos family).

Production began around 1960/1965; our piece is a bottle holder produced among the early subjects, in the very early years of production.

So it is about 60 years old, in good condition, with traces of xylophagous beetle holes (woodworms) that were filled many years ago and are thus no longer present. Anyway, a conservation treatment and waxing will be performed before shipment.

Photos are part of the description.

Very quickly, it is very well packed with polystyrene and/or bubble wrap, and shipped with tracking and insurance via the best shipping agencies.
The shipping cost includes tracking, packaging materials, and insurance of the item.
Due to customs and border procedures, we do not ship to the USA.
Corsica and other non-Italian European islands to be agreed.
