Russian Orthodox icon from the late 19th – early 20th century, painted in tempera on panel with a richly gilded background.

The composition represents the Virgin Mary "Galaktotrophousa" (Theotokos Lactating Mother of God) accompanied by saints of the Suzdal tradition: Saint Euthymius of Suzdal, Saint Theodore of Suzdal, Saint John of Suzdal and Saint Euphrosyne of Suzdal.

The singular arched shape of the panel suggests that it may originally have formed part of an iconostasis or a liturgical ensemble.

It preserves the original panel with two embedded crossbars, high-quality gilding, and a painting in very well-preserved condition. An uncommon piece, of notable historical and collecting interest.
