Desk clock - Art Nouveau - .925 silver - 1850-1900

Silver case with a removable pocket watch. The exterior features a richly chased silver mounting in Art Nouveau style with floral decorations. The interior is finished with green velvet and provides space for the watch, which is visible behind a round cut-out when the case is closed. The watch has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands, and a seconds hand. The front of the case bears British silver hallmarks including the lion passant (sterling silver, 925), an anchor (Birmingham Assay Office), and the maker's mark.
The pocket watch is in good running order. The interior bears the inscription "Argentan", Swiss, 273536. Ø watch 65 mm. Dimensions with crown 92 mm.
