Vintage men's top hat by Hans Hald of Aarhus, Denmark, made from fur felt dating to circa 1890–1910, in good condition with signs of wear, 19 cm high, 21 cm wide and 25 cm deep, with the original black grosgrain band and internal maker's mark.

Hans Hald men’s top hat – Aarhus (Denmark) – fur felt – ca. 1890–1910
Description
Elegant original men’s top hat, crafted by the hatter Hans Hald of Aarhus, Denmark, dating from approximately 1890–1910.
The hat is made of short-nap fur felt (probably beaver), a high-quality material used for premium top hats of the era. The surface still retains the characteristic direction of the fur, clearly visible.
The interior features the rare original maker’s mark with heraldic coat of arms and the French motto "Dieu et mon droit", an element that increases its historical and collectible interest.
The hat maintains a good structural shape and is complete with the original black grosgrain outer band.
Conditions
Good condition for its age. There are normal signs of wear due to time and use, as visible in the photographs, including small marks on the band and light wear on the fur. Interior mark well preserved.
