Two Plia folding chairs designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in Italy, dating to 1980–1990, with a chromed metal frame and beige plastic seats, in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear.

For sale is a beautiful set of [2] original Plia folding chairs, one of the most significant designs in Italian postwar design. Designed in 1967 by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli, the Plia revolutionized the concept of the folding chair and became a symbol of functionality and elegance.

ESPECIALLY IN SUCH AN EXCELLENT CONDITION
Feature: The patented 3-disk hinge allows an ultra-flat collapse (only about 5 cm thick).
Condition:
The chairs are in a very good, nearly unused vintage condition with minor signs of wear.
Frame: The chrome is well preserved (see photos).
Plastic: The seats and backs have only superficial scratches (due to use). (See close-up photos).
Function: The folding mechanism works perfectly.
Gliders: All black plastic glides are present.
