AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

I'm offering a Konica AA35 half-frame compact camera, also sold under the name "Konica Recorder."

The camera is in good working order. The shutter fires, the film advances and rewinds smoothly, and the flash fires. Everything functions perfectly.

The battery compartment is clean.

The camera does have some cosmetic flaws, which are common with this particular "Champagne" version due to the fragility of the material. The camera body has several scratches and tiny dents (probably from being stored in a bag with keys at some point). Also, the end of the aluminium body isn't quite flush with the plastic in one spot. These flaws were already present when I bought the camera six months ago and don't affect the camera's everyday use in any way. I have taken several rolls of great photos with it.

This is a wonderful, truly pocket-sized camera that shines in everyday photography. My reason for selling is that the 24mm lens is just a little too wide for me, and I find myself using my Canon Sure Shot Multi-Teli more often.

The half-frame format also means you get 72 exposures per roll of film. A blessing, as film prices continue to rise.

This camera is also unique among half-frame cameras in that the film runs from top to bottom, unlike other cameras where it runs from left to right. This means that when shooting in a normal orientation, you still get a standard landscape format and not a portrait format, as is the case with many other half-frame cameras.
