Here is the opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic and aesthetically striking turntables of the 1980s: the Bang & Olufsen Beogram 6002. Designed by the renowned designer Jacob Jensen, this turntable combines timeless design with high-precision engineering through its tangential arm and its automatic format recognition system for records (33 RPM and 45 RPM).

Mechanical condition & complete overhaul:

This turntable has undergone complete disassembly and meticulous maintenance according to best practices:

- Internal cleaning: Inspection revealed an original condition with very low signs of mechanical wear. Old greases, hardened over time, have been completely cleaned and replaced.
- Transmission & belt: The drive belt is in very good condition, ensuring perfect rotational consistency. The drive-arm motor belt is new, and a second belt is included in this package.
- Control keypad serviced: Each key has been removed and cleaned to guarantee perfect responsiveness and to avoid any false contacts.
- MMC3 cartridge: The original elliptical diamond is in very good condition (note: the tiny diamond size on this series is normal and in line with B&O’s original design; it requires delicate dusting to unleash its exceptional sound quality. Note: the transparent dust cap on the cartridge is missing, which does not affect its operation).

Aesthetic:

- The chassis presents a very handsome overall appearance, clean with only minor, time-related marks that do not affect its visual appeal. A very small portion of the front panel veneer at the bottom left is slightly damaged (see photo), but you need to view the front face closely to notice it.
- The plexiglass lid is in very good condition, retaining good transparency with only minor micro-scratches.

Plug & Play on ALL modern amplifiers, even those without a phono input (Included):

Originally, B&O turntables require specific equipment. To offer full compatibility with any Hi-Fi system or modern amplifier (B&O or other brands):

- A chassis ground connection has been added.
- A custom cable (DIN to 2 RCA + ground) has been specially manufactured to fit perfectly to the back panel.
- An external RIAA preamplifier (brand: Dilvpoetry) with adjustable volume is included in the package. You simply connect the turntable to the preamplifier, then the preamplifier to any AUX or Line input on your current amplifier.

Packaging & Shipping:

Rare strong point for collectors: The turntable will be shipped in its original cardboard packaging, including its original foam-in-place packaging. This guarantees not only increased collectible value but also maximum protection during transport.

The transport locking screws (B&O chassis security) will of course be tightened prior to shipment. Extra care is taken to ensure high-quality shipping.
