Elegant Italian jewelry box from the mid-19th century, made of fine woods and enriched by a refined geometric inlay work on the lid. The central motif depicts a splendid five-pointed star of the sea, executed with contrasting wood species, framed by a slim inlaid band that further enhances the balance and cleanliness of the lines.
The piece stands out for its sober elegance and the quality of artisanal craftsmanship, typical of 19th-century Italian cabinetmaking. The natural grain of the wood, combined with the warm patina acquired over time, give the object an authentic, timeless charm.
