Description from the seller
Book that collects the photographs of Yasuhiro Yoshioka. The artist made his debut at the "Yomiuri Independent Exhibition" in 1961, and the works exhibited were forced to be withdrawn for being "obscene". In 1962 he self-published his first photo book, composed mainly of the eliminated images. He was always an artist who challenged experimental expression in the new vanguards through the representation of the human body using strong contrasts and collages. His early works were greatly praised by masters Man Ray, Kobo Abe, Hiroshi Teshigahara, Nagisa Oshima, Eikoh Hosoe, among others. This book presents Yoshioka’s works in chronological order: "Yasuhiro Yoshioka Works (1st)", "Atlas of Human Sex", "Beast Love", "Mihiro Wakabayashi", "Paradise of Sodom", "One, Two, Three". The book is in good condition and has an extra plastic sleeve protecting the cover.
