HISTORIE/ÜBERBLICK:
The Ford Mustang has been regarded since its introduction in April 1964 as the founder of the legendary "Pony Car" class and is one of the best-known icons of American automotive history. The models from the first production year 1965 are particularly sought after by collectors worldwide. This Mustang was manufactured at the Dearborn, Michigan (USA) plant. The history shows a professional complete restoration by an experienced specialist company, during which the vehicle was comprehensively overhauled. The present appraisal from 2023 confirms the very good condition (grade 2) and rates the vehicle as a collectible classic. The vehicle has a Certificate of Title as well as European registration papers. The odometer shows 85,896 miles.
KAROSSERIE/LACK:
The body of the hardtop coupe is in a very good, professionally restored condition after the extensive refurbishment. The paint is in Bordeaux color. The body, sheet metal, and fittings were overhauled as part of the restoration and appear substantially clean and solid.
INNENRAUM:
The interior for 4 people has been professionally restored and presents itself in keeping with the overall condition of the vehicle. Instrument panel, seats, trims, and controls have been overhauled and preserved.
TECHNIK:
Under the hood runs the original Ford Windsor 289 cui (4.7-liter) V8 engine with twin carburetors and a power output of 203 hp (149 kW). The drivetrain is transmitted via the overhauled Ford C4 3-speed automatic to the rear axle. The technology was fully overhauled during restoration:
• Disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear with power assist
• Double wishbone front suspension with stabilizer as well as rigid rear axle with leaf springs
• 12-volt electrical system with generator
Engine and transmission are technically functional and overhauled.
