The speaker series to which the Philips FB 652 belongs (the Philips 600 series) was introduced in 1991.
This series of compact passive bookshelf speakers was produced and sold during the period from 1991 to 1993. [1]

Overload protection (Overload Protection)
A unique feature of the FB 652 is the active protection of the tweeter. On the front panel there are two indicator lights (LEDs):
Yellow LED: The speaker is delivering its maximum acoustic output (limit).
Red LED: The overload protection is active. The signal to the tweeter is immediately reduced to prevent damage.
