Industrial vintage lamp dating from 1945–1955, fully functional, made of steel with a double‑arm design and chrome friction joints, features an original shade and a cord switch, with a custom base made from a brake disc replacing the original, produced in Italy.
Description from the seller
Authentic vintage industrial technical lamp dating roughly to the period 1945–1955, built for professional use in workshops, laboratories and technical studios. Unmarked, it stands out for a build quality superior to the average, typical of post-war industrial equipment, where functionality, robustness and durability were the core aspects of the design.
The structure is entirely metal and consists of an elegant double articulated arm with refined chrome friction joints, which allow precise and stable positioning of the light. The original shade preserves the characteristic cord switch, a detail that is now rare and typical of mid-20th-century technical lamps, contributing to its authenticity.
The lamp has undergone a conservative restoration, preserving the original patina and the natural signs of time that tell its story without altering its charm. It is perfectly functional and ready to use.
The original base is no longer present and has been replaced with a solid artisanal base carved from an automotive brake disk, a choice with a strong industrial character that ensures excellent stability and harmonizes with the object's aesthetics. This modification is disclosed with full transparency and further enhances the lamp's factory-like appearance.
Thanks to its essential design, the quality of the mechanics, and the original details, this lamp represents a piece of authentic industrial archaeology, ideal for furnishing lofts, architectural studios, creative ateliers, offices or contemporary environments where you want to introduce a piece with strong historical and functional character. It is not a simple vintage lamp, but an object that testifies to an era when work tools were built to last a lifetime.
