The Ship: It is the Santísima Trinidad (Nuestra Señora de la Santísima Trinidad), one of the most famous sailing ships in naval history.
Origin and Launch: It was built at the Havana shipyards (Cuba) in 1769 from Cuban mahogany and Mexican pine.
Fame: It was nicknamed "El Escorial dei mari". It was the largest wooden warship of its time, boasting as many as 140 cannons distributed over 4 gun decks. It participated in major historical battles up to the famous Battle of Trafalgar (1805), at the end of which it sank.
The Plaque: It bears the name of the galleon, the place and date of launch (Havana - Cuba - 1769) and the signature of the author/artisan (Mateo Mullar or Millar), indicating a handcrafted or customized creation.
