A French late 19th‑century figural mantel clock of spelter and brass with a mechanical 8‑day movement, standing 65 cm high and 45 cm wide on a black Belgian marble pedestal in a historicist Neo‑Rococo style, featuring a seated young woman with foliage and a basket of flowers, a half‑hour strike on one bell, a winding key, and signs of age in good working order.

An elegant and imposing French antique figural mantel clock dating from the late 19th century (circa 1880–1890).
The clock features a finely detailed romantic and allegorical sculpture of a young woman seated by stylized foliage, holding a basket of flowers/fruits, with a bird resting on her shoulder.
The sculpture and the highly ornate base are crafted from patinated spelter (régule), showing a rich, deep finish.
The upper structure rests on a substantial historicist-style pedestal made of solid black Belgian marble, supported by heavy, openwork cast feet decorated with Neo-Rococo scrolls and acanthus leaves.The clock movement is integrated into the center of the base, featuring a dark dial with Roman numerals and a polished gilt brass bezel.
Overall the clock is in good state, in line with its age. Please take a look at the photographs two fingers on the sculpture are missing.
