A lovely antique Napoleon III French Cave à Liqueur (liquor cabinet) dating from around 1860 to 1900. These luxurious portable bars were designed to display and store fine spirits.
The cabinet folds open and upwards from the front, with two side panels that can be opened outwards: The case is composed of veneered and black lacquered wood with brass trim strips around the edges. The top and front have an inlaid central medallion in with brass and mother-of-pearl.
