AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The pictured fireplace insert is an antique cast-iron wood holder with an elegant Neo-Gothic design. The whole piece is made of heavy cast iron with a warm bronze to gold-brown patina, arising from age and use.

The wood holder has a rectangular shape and rests on four slender legs positioned slightly backward, giving it a light and refined appearance. The two solid side panels rise gracefully in a subtly curved contour and form sturdy supports for the firewood.

The front, back, and bottom plates consist of a series of curved vertical bars that extend upward into a decorative edge of interconnected Gothic pointed arches (ogives). This openwork pattern is characteristic of the Neo-Gothic style of the 19th century and provides both a decorative effect and good air circulation around the wood.

The underside is made of the same curved bars forming a slightly hollow support surface.
Dimensions: H 18 cm, W 40 cm, D 21 cm.

The photos are part of the description.
No visible damage.
Preferably to be picked up in 3770 Riemst, but it can also be shipped.
Shipping costs within Europe are listed for the surrounding countries. For example, Norway or Portugal may incur additional costs, to be discussed with the customer.
Tip: you can also pick it up on a Sunday morning, as there is a weekly large antique market in Tongeren about 8 km from home (people from all over the world attend this weekly antique market). You could collect it there during the market on Sunday.
Riemst is also only 8 km from Maastricht and 20 km from Liège.
