Ancient Roman bronze mask depicting a female theatre mask, measuring 7.70 x 7.00 cm, in good condition with a small bump on the forehead, acquired in 1999 from Spain from a private Madrid collection via a gallery/antique dealer, with authenticity certificate and Spanish export license in process.

Her serene face with large lidded eyes, open mouth and arching brows merging with the bridge of her slender nose, her hair centrally parted and fashioned in cork-screw curls to her sides. A crown decorated with concentric circles on tope of her hairdress. Beautiful example.
