Description from the seller

Victorian complete dessert cutlery set (24 pieces) – Engraved blades, solid sterling silver collars and original case – United Kingdom, c. 1890-1900.
Object type: Dessert/fruit cutlery (12 knives and 12 forks).
Blade material: Silver-plated metal (EPNS) engraved with scrollwork and rocailles motifs.
Collars material: Solid sterling silver (.925) with British hallmarks (Lion Passant).
Handle material: Bone / ancient organic material with aged patina.
Era: Late 19th century (Victorian era, c. 1880–1900).
Origin: United Kingdom.
Includes: Original wooden case with padded interior.
Magnificent and complete Victorian dessert/fruit cutlery set consisting of 24 pieces (12 knives and 12 forks), preserved in its original polished wooden case with lined interior.
Blades and tines are finely decorated with ornate period engravings. All pieces incorporate solid sterling silver collars, authenticated by their corresponding British hallmarks, including the Lion Passant mark.
Condition:
The set is in antique/period condition. Due to the passage of time and the natural drying of the original adhesive, some of the fork handles have detached or become loose from the collar, as clearly seen in the photographs. This is a common condition for this type of item and can be easily repaired or secured.
Terms of sale:
The lot is sold as-is and returns are not accepted, as the photographs form an integral and explicit part of the product description. Please review all images carefully before bidding.
