Coat rack - Aluminium

An elegant wall-mounted bathroom rack with a shelf for clean towels and lower hooks, characterized by a minimalist yet exceptionally striking Mid-Century Modern form. The item originates from Germany and is estimated to be from the second half of the 20th century (about the 1970s/80s), making a great example of functional design from that era. The construction is made of lightweight aluminum in a matte gold finish, which keeps it light while also resistant to the humidity in the bathroom. The overall dimensions of the item are 84 cm in width, 30 cm in depth, and 14 cm in height. An exceptionally practical feature are the movable hooks, which can be freely slid along the entire length of the lower rail, allowing perfect adjustment of their spacing to the size of the hanging towels or accessories. The rack is kept in good visual condition with normal signs of use appropriate to its age. At the joints there is currently a slight play, which results from prior use and requires re-tightening of the internal mounting screws to fully stiffen the construction. However, it is worth noting that this procedure is not necessary for immediate use – after mounting on the wall, the play does not in any way hinder the functionality and stability of the entire shelf. The item constitutes an excellent, stylish retro addition to both modern and classic bathroom spaces or dressing rooms.
