Description from the seller
GENERAL:
Mercedes-Benz - 230E - WITHOUT RESERVE - 1991. This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 230E of Spanish origin is a vehicle with approximately 333,000 km on the odometer. The seller states that the car is in good overall condition. Being cataloged as a historic vehicle, it offers the great practical advantage of being able to access and drive freely in Low Emission Zones (LEZ). Belonging to the legendary W124 generation designed under Bruno Sacco's direction, this saloon is considered by enthusiasts as the definitive argument against modern consumerism and the last Mercedes designed under the philosophy of absolute overengineering before the budget cuts of the 1990s. Famous for its indestructible durability, its aerodynamic refinement, and its soundproofing, the W124 with the 2.3-liter M102 engine was the quintessential executive car for managers and diplomats during Helmut Kohl's era.
BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The vehicle is kept in good overall condition. The bodywork in its elegant dark metallic gray tone shows some usual signs of wear commensurate with its age and mileage, highlighting only a dent visible on the trunk lid.
MECHANICS:
Under the hood sits the reliable 4-cylinder 2,298 cc engine with Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection delivering 132 horsepower. The mechanics operate normally, as does the transmission. It has recently undergone maintenance that includes an oil change, replacement of filters, and a new fuel pump.
INTERIOR:
The cabin preserves its gray fabric upholstery in acceptable overall condition. Notable points: the driver's seat shows some wear from use and the seller states that the headliner fabric needs to be replaced.
DOCUMENTATION:
Vehicle classified and cataloged as Historic.
PICKUP:
The car is located in Madrid, Spain. If won, the seller offers a post-sale storage period of 20 days.
OTHER INFORMATION: No reserve

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
