Exceptional and rare pair of original works by Ivorian painter Kourouma Youssouf, known as « De Kimbirila ».
These two major pieces form part of the prestigious series, Homage to my son, created in 1999.
Purchased directly in a gallery in Abidjan, these works testify to De Kimbirila's artistic maturity, a key and respected figure of Ivorian contemporary art, now based in Canada.
The artist's work draws on Manding traditions, collective memory, and the richness of African cultural heritage.
