Magnificent Bohemian crystal goblet with ruby red overlay, datable to the first half of the 19th century (Biedermeier period). This model features the famous overlay glass technique: a layer of ruby red crystal is applied over the transparent crystal and subsequently faceted to reveal the geometric panels and underlying motifs. The refined finish includes diamond-shaped geometric decorations on the upper part and hand-painted arabesques in 24-karat gold leaf and white. In excellent condition, with no chips.
