Description from the seller
GENERAL:
BMW Z3 Roadster 1.9 with 118 HP registered in 1999. An authentic German classic that every year gains more value and appeal among enthusiasts. National vehicle, with only two owners since new and maintenance book. The BMW Z3, designed by Jota Fockeyer and famously presented in the James Bond film "GoldenEye" in 1995, was the first Bavarian-brand vehicle built entirely outside Germany, specifically at the Spartanburg, South Carolina plant. The 1.9-liter M43TUB19 engine delivering 118 HP is widely recognized for its excellent mechanical reliability and low maintenance cost compared to the six-cylinder variants. This unit stands out for its rare and coveted "British style" specification that combines Boston Green Metallic paint with green leather interior and original BMW wood trim, a configuration highly exclusive and difficult to find on the current market. Thanks to its excellent condition, reliable mechanics and growing interest among collectors, it is a superb opportunity both to enjoy an authentic classic roadster and to incorporate it into a vehicle collection with great potential for appreciation.
BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The bodywork is in very good condition and maintains an excellent presence. It preserves its elegant green metallic color (Boston Green Metallic), with good shine and a very cared-for finish. The paint shows only the small signs of use consistent with the vehicle’s age, with no major dents or significant dings. No signs of corrosion or rust are visible, and no structural repairs or welding works are known. The glass, rubber seals, trim, emblems, lights and other exterior elements are in good condition and functioning. Overall, the vehicle offers a very attractive appearance faithful to its well-kept classic condition.
MECHANICS:
The vehicle is in perfect operating condition. It always starts on the first try, both cold and hot, maintaining a steady idle and smooth operation. The engine responds with the power and smoothness typical of the 118 HP BMW 1.9, with no abnormal noises or vibrations. The five-speed manual transmission engages with precision and the clutch works correctly. Maintenance has been carried out regularly and the vehicle comes with a maintenance book. The brakes, suspension, steering and tires are in good condition and allow for comfortable and safe driving. It shows no oil or other fluid leaks and does not require any immediate repair, being ready to enjoy from day one.
INTERIOR:
The interior remains completely original and in excellent condition for its age. It stands out for its exclusive combination of green leather with original wood trim and steering wheel from BMW, a configuration very uncommon that adds great aesthetic and collectible value. The seats show minimal wear, the dashboard is in very good condition with no cracks or deformations, and the door panels, center console and carpets maintain an excellent presence. The hood is in perfect condition, with no tears, wear or fading, and its open/close mechanism works smoothly, allowing it to be folded and latched with ease. The interior headlining is also in perfect condition, with no sagging or damage. All electrical components work correctly, including power windows, ventilation, radio and the rest of the instrumentation. Overall, the cabin reflects the excellent care and maintenance the vehicle has received over the years.
DOCUMENTATION:
The vehicle is delivered with all original documentation: registration, technical data sheet, ITV card and maintenance book. It also retains a complete history of technical inspections with numerous ITV stamps that certify the vehicle’s monitoring and care over the years. The most recent technical inspection was favorable and the ITV is valid until July 2027. This is a national unit, with only two owners since first registration, guaranteeing a clear, transparent and well-documented history. All documentation is available and will be handed over to the future owner.
PICK-UP / DELIVERY:
The vehicle is located in Mallorca (Balearic Islands), Spain, and can be visited by appointment to personally verify its condition. Assistance is offered to facilitate vehicle pickup and, if the buyer wishes, help can be provided to arrange national or international transport through a specialized company.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
