This limited-edition custom-made white porcelain teapot with lid and a matching two-piece ceramic set were commissioned by Chiba Bank of Japan in 1998.
The printed designs were verified as authentic by Moulinsart, the copyright holder of *The Adventures of Tintin*.
The teapot features Tintin and Snowy's imagery on both sides, and the lid includes a tea strainer.
The ceramic bowl features an illustration of Tintin and Snowy with a vintage sailboat on the inside, with French text printed on the rim.
Both pieces are engraved with the corresponding manufacturer and copyright compliance markings on the bottom.
The teapot is in excellent condition overall.
The white porcelain glaze is smooth and glossy, with no obvious chips, dents, or deep scratches.
The comic print shows no wear or fading.
The lid fits snugly, and the spout and handle are sturdy and crack-free.
The metal lettering on the bottom shows only very slight natural oxidation over time.
