AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Gold-plated micro-mosaic brooch from the early 1900s
A distinctive and exceptional micro-mosaic brooch from the early 1900s, original Liberty. This workmanship was actually carried out during the great Liberty Boom, and what had been the normal flower and leaf work typical of late 19th-century micro-mosaic was expanded with this type of production. The piece is worked with very small tesserae, and precisely for this reason the artisan's skill is evident both in the entirely handmade mount with fretwork (not stamped) and in the filling with the extremely thin glass tesserae from Venice, which were spun by candle flame from time to time to reach the right thickness to set them in place.
Please consider that this brooch is suitable for a museum as it is hardly available on the market and is absolutely non-reproducible.
On the back it reads F.A.P., the letters Fabbrica Angelo Pesaresi, and the Made in Italy stamp.
Additionally, the photo of the company for participation in an era event IS NOT included in the lot but for viewing only.
Measurements 40 x 34 x 6 mm Weight 13 g
