They are two candelabras that clearly represent the Louis XVI spirit reinterpreted in the full nineteenth century, crafted in gilded bronze with that blend of classical sobriety and ornamental richness that defines the style. The structure is vertical, balanced, almost architectural: a central shaft that rises with firmness and from which five arms unfold in elegant curves, each ending in well-defined cups that maintain the proportion and serenity typical of the neoclassical language.
The gilding, warm and deep, enhances the fine reliefs that run along the piece: acanthus leaves, discreet scrollwork, small garlands and classical motifs that evoke a return to order and the formal purity of the eighteenth century, but with the artisanal hand and decorative sensibility of the nineteenth. The square bases, supported on paw-like feet, provide presence and stability, in addition to that theatrical touch that was so popular in historicist decoration.
