Sheep's Eye Agate Silver Ring
Material Properties: Naturally formed banded agate, deposited in the earth's strata over many years, with concentric ring-like patterns growing naturally, commonly known as "sheep's eye" agate. The surface of the raw stone shows natural growth textures and weathered orange-peel patterns, belonging to the classic "eye bead" category in the ancient bead culture.
One side features a regular black ring with a straight eye, while the other side has a lighter ring pattern. Each stone has two completely different appearances, meaning no two pieces are exactly alike.
Cultural Origins and Style: This type of eye bead originates from ancient civilizations in West Asia, including Persia, Mesopotamia, and Central Asia (Sassanian and Parthian cultural spheres), and has been passed down for thousands of years.
In ancient times, they were collectively called Medicine Buddha Beads or Sheep's Eye Beads, serving as amulets for ancient West Asian nomadic groups. Later, they were introduced to the Western Regions and Tibet along the Silk Road, integrating into Tibetan folk customs.
The base material is S925 standard sterling silver, with a gilded surface and a matte, frosted texture, replicating the simple and rustic feel of ancient gold and silver artifacts.
Suitable for finger circumferences of 52-54.
