Description from the seller
Original Veritys “Maxlume” ship lamp – Aston, Birmingham (England) – heavy aluminium & prism glass
Beautiful original maritime ship lamp from the renowned British manufacturer Veritys Ltd., sold under the well-known brand name Maxlume. This robust fixture originates from a vessel and was designed for use in the harsh conditions of merchant shipping and the maritime industry.
Veritys was based in Aston, Birmingham, and was internationally known for its high-quality industrial and maritime lighting. The Maxlume series was used on merchant ships, offshore installations, engine rooms, and other industrial environments where reliability and durability are essential.
The lamp is made from heavy cast steel and features a thick prismatic glass shade, which provides a beautiful diffused light pattern. The original industrial finish and attractive patina give the lamp an authentic look.
The original fitting is still present. The lamp has not been modernized; for use, the buyer must supply their own mains cord and any new wiring. This keeps the lamp largely in its original condition.
