PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
General Description and Artistic Concept
Up for auction is a splendid and exclusive example of the Bolex Paillard B8L cine camera in Double 8mm format (Standard 8), produced in Switzerland in the 1950s/60s, renowned for its precision mechatronic engineering.
This specific unit has undergone a unique, personalized aesthetic revival: the classic original black leather/Leatherette has been replaced with a high-resistance technical material, adorned with vintage motifs inspired by the posters and scores of the most famous Italian and French Opera masterpieces (La Traviata, Aïda, Don Carlos, Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, Otello by Giuseppe Verdi). A perfect blend of vintage Swiss mechanical engineering and the allure of grand classical dramatic music.
The item presents itself as a true one-of-a-kind collectible, ideal for both amateur/vintage filmmaking use and as a refined design or display piece.
