Almost 50 years old and still an impressive testament to the quality AR is worldwide known for. The rarity of a speaker this age being in this exceptionally neat condition is remarkable.
Both woofers have recently been re-foamed (new foam surrounds). This brings the speakers back to the way they were intended to sound: deep, controlled bass, a natural midrange, and the warm, refined tone that the AR18s are loved for. They have been fully tested and sound truly fantastic.
Also visually, the speakers are in a very fine condition. The original wood veneer cabinets show only minimal signs of use consistent with their age. The photos are part of the description and provide an honest view of the overall condition.
