Beautiful original illustration, created by the comic artist Marco Torricelli, from the Fantasy world of one of his stories, Dragoland, produced in 1992.
Ink, pencils, and watercolors on a large mounted cardboard sheet.
Dimensions: 50 x 35 cm.

Marco Torricelli (Genoa, November 30, 1957) is an Italian comic artist.
He attended the Technical Institute for Accountants. He began working as an illustrator in 1975 for La Bancarella, a supplement of the daily Il Lavoro, and in 1979 he drew some strips of the humorous character Gudrun for Eureka. In 1982, he joined the staff of If Edizioni, through which he worked for Sergio Bonelli Editore, drawing stories of Candy Candy, Mickey Mouse, and Il Piccolo Ranger. In 1986 he debuted on Zagor, mainly working on scripts by Marcello Toninelli, but he left it in 1991 to publish his own completely original stories. In the meantime he produced many covers for the school magazine Andersen - The World of Childhood. From 1988, having left the staff of If Edizioni, he drew some adventures for Zodiaco, Corto Maltese (the first was Cappuccio da Monaco in issue 5 of 1988), Magic Girl, and L'Eternauta (in 1992 he published two of his fantasy stories in the Dragoland series) on scripts by his brother Alessandro. In 1993 he worked for Dardo, drawing an episode of Gordon Link, and for the magazine Moby Dick. In 1995 he returned to drawing Zagor and in 2001 he debuted on Dampyr. Between 2004 and 2008 he studied at the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti and, from 2007, has drawn for the Prague-based religious monthly Messaggero di Gesù Bambino of the Discalced Carmelite friars of Arenzano. In 2011 he debuted on Tex with issue 603, drew the first Zagor Gigante, and began collaborating with American Marvel Comics by illustrating Thor: Whosoever Wields This Hammer No. 1.
