Tripod cup “Jue” China Song-Yuan dynasty
Subject taking the form of Jue vessels from the Shang dynasty
Resting on three blade-like feet, the belly adorned with archaizing taotie masks and archaic friezes
A handle embellished with a bovine head on one side.
Bronze with a black patina.
Dimensions 12.5 x 12.5 x 6 cm
excellent condition
Comes from a French private collection formed in the 1990s
