Description from the seller
The zoom lens EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM was developed as the successor to the EF28-70mm f/2.8L USM lens released in November 1993. Thanks to a new optical design, this new zoom offers a greater zoom range with a wide-angle focal length of 24 mm — ideal for digital image formats — while the excellent image quality of the previous model is maintained or even improved. In addition, the strength of the focusing group has been increased, allowing a minimum focusing distance of only 0.38 meters across the entire zoom range; at the time, the shortest in its class. The new EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM also features a circular diaphragm for nicer background blur and, with environmental considerations in mind, uses only lead-free optical glass. Built like a tank and at 950 g certainly not lightweight. A pleasure to work with.
